For as long as I can remember animals have always been a part of my life. Their lack of being able to speak drives me to work harder to try and understand them. I currently have 2 dogs, Lily a pug x shitzu, and Lexi a yorkie x maltese. I also have a cat, Chloe a domestic shorthair. They have my heart, bringing new adventures everyday and lots of laughs. This admiration for animals led me to apply to many colleges, accepting admission to the veterinary technology program at the University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus. Being one of the youngest students in my program with not a lot of experience and fresh out of highschool definitely had its challenges but in turn pushed me to work just as hard as the other students. I had the opportunity to take home two beagles for home visits each year I was there, and they filled my heart with so much love and joy. Upon graduating in 2022, I took interest in completing my 6 week externship at the Upper Canada Animal Hospital, accepting a job opportunity one week into starting. The staff here is like no other, their passion for animals matches mine and even more so. If I could sum up the team into one word I’d choose “family”. I’m excited to be a part of the work here and growing together everyday. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, fishing, and pyrography (woodburning)! That being said, I am so excited to be a part of the Upper Canada team with people who strive to provide the best care possible to all animals and share the same passion as I do!
