At 18, I moved to British Columbia, where I eventually took on a lead role in the fish department at a local pet store. That experience deepened my interest in animal care and inspired me to pursue a career in the veterinary field. After extensive research, I enrolled in an accelerated Veterinary Assistant program in Penticton, where I graduated with honours—an experience that truly solidified my passion for this industry.

I spent nearly 10 years in BC, including over three years at my first veterinary clinic, where I gained invaluable hands-on experience and developed the skills I carry with me today. During a visit back home, I realized it was time to return and continue my career closer to family.

Colleagues and friends often describe me as friendly, upbeat, and always smiling—with just a touch of sass. I enjoy creating a positive environment, helping others, and bringing a bit of humour into each day. Outside of work, you can usually find me spending time with my partner and our cat, connecting with friends and family, or planning my next travel adventure.
