I have always surrounded myself with animals and my family and I love Australian Shepherds. I developed my love for animals with my first family dog Harley, who was my protector from the day I was born. This passion only deepened when we adopted our next dog, Jewel. She was my best friend and taught me the ways dogs can communicate and connect with their owners on a much deeper level than I ever knew.

I wanted to pursue my care for animals and discover how I can use my compassion to help give animals a voice. I spent 2 years at The University of Guelph in the Animal Biology program where I found an interest in animal welfare. I then completed my Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences with Honors at Brock University in 2024, and continued to feel driven to pursue a path in animal wellness, which is why I jumped at the chance to work at Upper Canada Animal Hospital.

I now live with my two silly orange cats, Wayne and Hoagie. We rescued Wayne from a bad snow storm and gave him a warm bed for the night and he never left! We then felt like Wayne was lonely so we adopted Hoagie, who was able to help Wayne with his trauma and teach him how to play like crazy orange cats do. They are my first experience with cats and I immediately fell in love, but quickly learned that I can never have nice furniture. I love education and to be around people that I can learn from, and that is only one of the reasons why I am so excited to be a part of the Upper Canada Animal Hospital team. Everyone here is like a family and expresses the same level of care and empathy for animals that I have always felt. I am grateful to be a part of this team!
